Teleprompter falls faster than tax revenues…

Monday, July 13th, 2009

ABC reports that today, one of Barry’s teleprompters could take no more and leapt to its death.

Midway through his speech on urban and metropolitan policy in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building this afternoon, one of his two small glass prompters came crashing down, hitting the wood floor and crashing in many pieces. It made quite a ruckus.

“Oh, goodness,” a startled President Obama said. “Sorry about that, guys.”

He then proceeded on with his remarks, “To pull our economy back from the brink, including the largest and most sweeping economic recovery plan in our nation’s history…”

I’d be willing to bet that, as “journalists”, they took the previous quote out-of-context (as they’re so willing to do to conservatives) and that it really went more like this…

“To pull our … ummm … head out of our … ummm … economy back … ahhh … from the … ummm … capitalists … errr … brink, including … ummm … the largest and most sweeping tax increase … errr … economic … ummm … destruction … errr … recovery plan … ahhh … will you guys at ABC just finish this for me? After all, you guys wrote it…”

But hey, that’s just me doing that thinking thing again…

Why the sudden trip to Hawaii, Barry?

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

Barack Hussein Obama has suddenly abandoned his campaign to make a trip to Hawaii, purportedly to visit his ailing grandmother.

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama will leave the campaign trail to go to Hawaii this week to visit the ailing grandmother who helped raise him, an aide said on Monday.

According to the Marxist views that Obama seems to hold, I’m surprised that he would do something like this, as (to pervert a Trek-ism) the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. And we’ve been told ad-nauseum since Obama won the nomination that we all need him and we puny citizens and this nation would be helpless without him.

Indeed, did the Obama campaign not cricize John McCain for suspending his own campaign to deal with the financial problems caused by liberal Democrats and the Community Reinvestment Act, a threat to the nation as a whole?

“It’s my belief that this is exactly the time that the American people need to hear from the person who in approximately 40 days will be responsible for dealing with this mess,” Obama said. “It’s going to be part of the president’s job to deal with more than one thing at once.” He demurred when asked by reporters whether McCain’s move was a political ploy.

So I have to wonder whether Obama is capable of dealing with more than one thing at a time? Perhaps he will be dealing with multiple items in that, while visiting with his ailing grandmother, Barry will also be obtaining a more-convincing “birth certificate” for Mr. Berg and his lawsuit?

Ok, which is it?

As part of the leftist media’s best efforts to convince us, before the election, that Obama has actually won the election, they’re trumpeting a close-to-10-point lead for Obama.

Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby Poll: And Then It Was Ten . . .

Obama 51.6%, McCain 42.0%

Of course, the Ministry of Propaganda may want to coordinate their news releases with the other news outlets that are claiming that it’s dead even

The presidential race tightened after the final debate, with John McCain gaining among whites and people earning less than $50,000, according to an Associated Press-GfK poll that shows McCain and Barack Obama essentially running even among likely voters in the election homestretch.

Ok, so which is it? And what about the 10%+ “undecideds”?

I guess my thoughts are that neither party’s candidates should write their concession speech nor prematurely plan their victory party based on these shoddy poll numbers.

Just answer the question Barry…

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

If Barack Hussein Obama is such an intellectual (as we’re constantly told by his supporters) then answering a question that any eighth-grader could answer in a single sentence shouldn’t be that difficult.

It seems, though, that Barry was asked a simple question that he couldn’t answer, although he did manage to speak for several minutes without answering it (to be fair, about one third of that time was consumed by the utterance of “uh…” and “umm…”). Just watch for yourself.

I guess it’s not good for your campaign to admit being pro baby-killer.

One Explanation for Obama’s Record Campaign Donations?

Tuesday, October 14th, 2008

Fox News is reporting that a Missouri couple and McCain supporters, Steve and Rachel Larman, noticed a mysterious $2,300 dollar charge on their credit card — to the Barack Hussein Obama campaign.

A North Kansas City couple has been left scratching their heads after they became the victims of a political scam.

Steve and Rachel Larman say a strange credit card charge appeared on their statement this month — a $2300 donation to Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. The Larman’s say they don’t want this to be about their political affiliation, but they say they’re not about to give the Obama campaign any help from their pocketbook.

They said they notified Chase, their credit card bank, to report the fraud.

“(They) said that they had seen-they were familiar with this,” said Steve Larman. “It was fraud, they believe through telemarketing but they were going to be doing some more investigations.”

This isn’t the first time that Obama’s “contributions” have been questioned. I don’t normally wear a tinfoil hat, but I’m seriously beginning to wonder who or what is behind this conspiracy to force Barack Hussein Obama on the American electorate? Hillary’s hallucinated Vast Right Wing Conspiracy has nothing on this apparently-real vast communist conspiracy.

And one more parting thought — if dodgy finances are part of the Obama campaign, do you really want this guy anywhere NEAR the Treasury Department and/or taxpayer dollars?

How to ruin the economy in 12 easy steps

Friday, October 10th, 2008

Ben Stein has an excellent and oh-so-true article on How to Ruin the U.S. Economy.

I highly, highly recommend that you read it, since it helps to dispel all the partisan bickering and “wasn’t ME…” nonsense that’s going on right now concerning which major political party should take the heat for destroying the economy and shouldering the US taxpayers and several generations of their descendants with financial hell.

Maybe NOW some folks will finally be convinced that a third party is a viable option or that both major political parties require some SERIOUS housecleaning.

For those of you that still insist on blindly voting straight-party, have no fear — the beltway bandits of your particular major political party are counting on you to keep them in office — even though they’ve already done a terrible amount of damage, there may actually still be something left for them to destroy.

A great idea

Friday, October 10th, 2008

The Associated Press is reporting that two Indiana politicians have agreed to wear lie detectors during an upcoming debate.

Two challengers for an Indiana congressional seat have agreed to be hooked up to lie detectors during a debate, but an official with the incumbent’s party dismisses the idea as “bizarre.”

In my opinion, this isn’t bizarre — it’s a great idea. It’s a widely-held belief that most legends have their basis in fact, and the commonly-held view that when politicians’ lips are moving they are lying certainly fits that belief (not to mention the many, many documented lies…)

Am I the only person that believes that this should be a debate standard going forward?

Presumptious, don’t you think?

Friday, October 10th, 2008

According to the Washington Times, Barack Hussein Obama apparently attempted to cut his own deal with the Iraqi government concerning the US presence in Iraq.

At the same time the Bush administration was negotiating a still elusive agreement to keep the U.S. military in Iraq, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama tried to convince Iraqi leaders in private conversations that the president shouldn’t be allowed to enact the deal without congressional approval.

Mr. Obama’s conversations with the Iraqi leaders, confirmed to The Washington Times by his campaign aides, began just two weeks after he clinched the Democratic presidential nomination in June and stirred controversy over the appropriateness of a White House candidate’s contacts with foreign governments while the sitting president is conducting a war.

I’d be curious as to whether this little “sidebar” in which Obama engaged was in any way criminal or just over-zealous political posturing? There may be a basis for that belief that this action was shady, given that Lyndon Johnson, a president of Obama’s own party thought that a similar situation was, of all things, treasonous.

Mr. Dallek, author of “Flawed Giant: Lyndon Johnson and His Times 1961-1973,” obtained tapes of the conversations from bugs the Johnson administration had placed in the South Vietnamese Embassy in Washington.

Negotiations to end the Vietnam War were taking place in Paris at the time between the Johnson administration and the North and South Vietnamese.

Mr. Agnew and Mrs. Chennault “signaled the South Vietnamese that they would get a better deal with Richard Nixon as president instead of the Democrat” Hubert Humphrey, Mr. Dallek said.

“Johnson was furious and said that Nixon was guilty of treason,” Mr. Dallek said, but neither he nor Mr. Humphrey disclosed the matter before the election, which Mr. Nixon won.

Now we all know how that whole Nixon presidency turned out, now don’t we? I guess that you have to ask yourself whether this kind of dodgy and underhanded behavior is a quality that you want sitting in the Oval Office? It’s your choice.

What really caused the mortgage meltdown?

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

Here’s a very interesting video that contains documented fact and explains the real cause of the mortgage meltdown.

Please watch the video. But here’s a spoiler — “Democrats” and “Barack Hussein Obama”…
